We help our clients navigate the challenges of outdated, stranded assets, offering innovative solutions to retrofit, recycle, and regenerate built environments. The time to act is now—let's build a sustainable future together.
At the heart of every great place is a simple idea: people should feel good living, working, learning, and playing there.
I’m Robert Pike, an architect with over 20 years of experience transforming tired buildings and underused places into vibrant, healthy environments. I founded Boidus Studio to focus on the reuse and retrofit of existing spaces—shopping centres past their prime, empty office blocks, town centres in need of new life.
My work is driven by one aim: to make places feel better—for people and for the communities they’re part of.
I believe design should promote wellbeing. That means more daylight, cleaner air, green connections, and spaces that encourage walking, cycling, and social connection. I value natural materials, thoughtful reuse, and beauty rooted in practicality.
This people-first approach shaped my early work. My architectural thesis explored how Silvertown in East London could be reimagined for climate resilience and human wellbeing. Since then, I’ve delivered real-world projects across the UK—from Inverness to Watford, Stirling to Chatham—reworking complex urban sites into places that improve daily life.
I’ve led projects across all RIBA stages (0–6), previously as an Associate at POD Architects and a Senior Architect at an AJ100 firm. Now through my own practice, I collaborate with clients, developers, and communities to unlock the full potential of existing places.
I live in North London, where I campaign for safer streets, greener parks, and better cycling. I run community workshops and support local environmental groups—because good design should serve people, not just look good.
If you have a space that’s underperforming—or a building ready for its next chapter—I’d love to help reimagine what it could be.
